2. Deployment

The NexLog Access Appliance is a software package installed in a virtual machine.

The NexLog Access Appliance installation script supports Debian Linux and Amazon Linux 2 operating systems. Other operating systems are not directly supported by Eventide Support Services.

It is designed to be run on a hypervisor such as VMware vCenter 1, Citrix XenServer 2, or Microsoft Hyper-V 3. The NAA can also be deployed in a cloud environment using Amazon Web Services (AWS) 4, or Microsoft Azure 3.

2.1. Installation

After installing Debian or AWS Linux 2, log into server and run the command:

bash <(curl -s https://downloads.eventide.com/comm/software/misc/NAA/2.0.3/NAA_Install.sh)

Follow the steps in the installation script. If the command does not work, then your firewall may be the issue. Please reach out to your Network Administrator for troubleshooting.

2.2. Creating NAA Certificate Authority

Fill out the NAA Certificate Authority information. This step may take a while to complete. If you are unsure about the domain, please reach out to your Network Administrator.

2.3. Finish Installation

You must log off and log back in before creating keys for users and NexLog DXs. If deploying on Debian, please go to the Debian Deployment section.
