1. Introduction

The Eventide NexLog Access Appliance (NAA) provides an Eventide NexLog Dealer with the tools to access and maintain remote service for Eventide Communications’s logging products.

NexLog systems connect to the NAA over the Internet via a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Logging systems connected to the NAA can only be accessed via the NAA itself or another system designated and authorized as a control system. A control system can be a dealer technician, a third party monitoring appliance, or the NexLog Monitoring Service (NMS). Connected logging systems on the NAA are not accessible via other logging systems also connected to the NAA.

The purpose of this document is to establish requirements and provide a step by step instructions for the deployment, installation, and management of the NexLog Access Appliance.

This docuemnt is intended to be consumed by an Administrator who is familiar with appliance virtualization.
